2018 Advance CTE Fall Meeting

Staff from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education will be available to hold one-on-one meetings with states.

Join us for an evening of celebration as Advance CTE conducts the swearing in of its 2018-19 officers and new Board members. Attendees will receive a welcome from newly appointed Advance CTE President Bernadette Howard, followed by our newly relaunched Advancing Career Technical Education Leadership awards ceremony.

We are pleased to welcome Siemens USA CEO Barbara Humpton as this year's keynote speaker. Ms. Humpton will set the tone for this timely meeting on the heels ofPerkins reauthorization and ahead of many state-level elections, to underscore the importance of being a bold leader who is willing to take risks and strive for quality. While there is much uncertainty and potential challenges ahead, it is also a great time
for opportunity and innovation. She will discuss her role as the CEO of the Siemens Corporation, and how she serves as an inspiring leader to 50,000 people spread across all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
